Morning guys.

Does anyone know how you can create a security certificate for your own server without having to pay one of the authorised companies...?

I'm trying to test out security on a home server before rolling it out to the company and paying for it so just need to be able to activate security in some way.

You used to be able to get a free test certificate from Network Solutions (and probably some others) to do this.

Check them out or Verisign.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Hi mate,

Your SSL package should contain programs that allow you to do this.

If you are using Windows, check out
There is a section that explains how to create a test certificate.

Hope this helps
