Web server not found

I had to format my disk, but after I installed everything (Personal Web Server, IIS, FrontPage98 extensions, SP5 for VS6, SP4 for NT), I don't get the server name in new project wizzard.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have same problem . I run all on one mashine which is server NT4. At one of the installation attempts Interdev was able to see defaultr web site. If you will find solution please post here.

If you get "Unable to contact the web server at

http://"

1. make sure the front page server extension is installed
I think to check that you have to run regsvr32 c:\<windows>\system\FP30wec.dll

2. to check whether your Tcp/ip connection is working along with your wins and dns, try opening the server with IP address : port 80 I.E 182.21.1.1:80

3. Make sure the _vti_bin virtual directory folder has Execute permission (from the IS manager).

4. In Interdev, Tools, Options, Projects, web proxy settings, clear use system settings

I've done it, but still it doesn't work.

Might be a dumb question but can you ping the server?
Try to resync the BDC's. you mentioned you've formated the drive. I assume you have a domain and made that pc part of the domain. See if your old pc is part of the domain and remove it if it is. Possible of an IP conflict.
