Web Server doesn't release batch apps...

Working on JDE (ERP 8.0 / WebSphere), over the internet is critical to our company due to a lot of sights and different locations.
Logging off the JDE takes 30 min. of innactivity default, but then again, the system does not understand the user has pressed the log off, if so..

Is it a common fault - among all others - or...??
