Hi,

I don;t know how best to describe the problem i am having but here goes:

On our school network we have microsoft isa server running and surfcontrol. We have surfcontrols real-time monitor running all the time so we can see what the kids are up to. All the Client pcs are running windows 2000 professional with the latest service packs and patches on. When a pupil opens internet explorer, the home page is set to our intranet. Every now and again (maybe a dozen times a day) I notice that one pc is continually hitting the intranet first page and real-time monitor goes mad - until they enter a web address and go out onto the net. I have monitored the pc's that are doing it and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern, nor be the same machines each time. It appears to be random and i was wondering if it is something within ISA server that only accepts so many requests at a time?

I would be really grateful for any help offered as this is really bugging me!!

Thanks

Lindsay

I mean that real-time monitor shows thousands of attempts to access the default intranet page and it just scrolls through really fast. It does this until the user puts in an internet address and then it returns to normal.

Like this (imagine this is just scrolling the same thing over and over and over again!!)
