When I try to open web reports from the browser, I get the error "Connection to Report Server Failed". What should I check?

We use Windows 2000, SQL Server 7, Crystal Enterprise 8

all services are running and can open reports in CR8.5 with no problem.

Just restarting the crystal services should do the trick.. no need to reboot. If this doesnt work then check the login permissions of the services

Thanks for the reply. Where do I go check the login permissions of the services?

Thanks

doubleclick the service in the "services" panel and u will end up with its property box. 2nd tab in is the logon info

are u using iis? there is lots of documentation on iis logon settings, but this differs for apache.

I restarted all services and checked the login permissions. They are good.

Yes, we are using IIS.

I did the patch for web component server. So the version of web component server (8.3...) now is different from others (8.0...). Would this cause the problem?

Thanks

i hear if u apply one patch u must apply them all. This could be a good place to start then.
