You do not need (and most people can't afford) Crystal Enterprise to web-enable reports - using the sample ASP pages available on Crystal's website (search for aspxmps85.exe), you can easily web-enable reports. The other components you need are a suitably configured server (Windows 2000 and IIS for example). I find it easier to simply install Crystal on the server to make sure I have all the components needs (RDC etc). Of course, if you're using Crystal 9.0, you may want to take a look at the report application server (RAS). Think of it as a stripped down version of Enterprise.

i am testing an application on a laptop running xp with iis5 and i just can't get the activex box up but i seem unable to bring up the report.

I was really just checking i didn't need to install enterprise

Thankyou !
