We are using CR8 and have placed cyrstal reports access via our intranet. We have used the recystalize program to load our reports with the usernames, passwords, etc. A few weeks back (before recystalize), users were using Internet Explorer 5.0 and tried to access a crystal report. It would ask for a username and password even though we embedded it in the report. The problem went away after about a week, but was a constant problem. Today, the same report ask for a username and password for the report and each of the 6 subreports contained within. I tested this for about an hour and it would do this about 70 % of the time. The other 30% worked fine and did not ask for a password. On the same note, I opened smaller crystal reports (ones with only a few tables and no subreports). These reports opened up 100% of the time without asking for a username (Just like it's suppose to).

Any idea why this would happen? Heavy network traffic? Heavy use of the web server at the request time? Any other thoughts?

If it is a network issue? Any way to change the report a bit to solve the problem? [sig][/sig]
