I have read through many forum articles looking for a solution which now brings me here. I have 2 lists in the "list" category which are linked to a MS Access MDB. Changes made from the MDB are reflected in my 2 lists which is what I wanted. Now I would like to have this data presented in a calendar form which I have tested by taking one of the lists and changing the view to calendar view and it works just dandy. However, there is data in both lists that need to be presented on the calendar. They would obviously be linked by a common filed. I read where I could connect the lists by way of web parts and then using the web part via a calendar view.

Doesn't this create extra objects? I would like to keep this as simple as possible. If I use the web part technology I believe I would need to create a web part for each list (2) and then a third web part to have the calendar view. Is my understanding correct? Or can I simply have one web part that takes in the fields necessary from each list and then I can change the view to calendar for presentation?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
