Web Parts Personalization Limitations

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the new ASP.NET 3.5 Web Parts Personalization will allow for personalization of a C# application? I want to persist (dubbed "long-lived") user personalization of a stand alone C# application also written in .NET 3.5 so that shouldn't be an issue.

The C# application has Windows Authentication so I will be able to gather that information from them.

Thank in advance for any help.
