Hi All,
I've got LDAP users served from my LDAP server, and home directories on the web server (a separate machine). The uid on the user's home directory matches that in the LDAP database, as does the gid. The problem is that I am getting 403 forbidden messages when trying to get to myserver.edu/~user. If I create the user in the web server's passwd and shadow files, then all is well. I am getting LDAP traffic from the web server to the LDAP server with every request, so connectivity is clear.
I would appreciate any advice on how to fix and/or investigate this further.
Thanks,
Chuck
