Hello there!

I have a non-secured page. All works well except when I try to load pictures and/or pages using a URL like so:

I am asked for an User ID & Password. I now this is not done by my own code - If I click on CANCEL, the page is loaded but text ONLY (no graphics, table definitions, ...)

I guess that I need to set something up in IIS to fix this problem (for lack of a better word). The question is, what do I need to do and where do I do it ???

Thank you all for you assistance!

I am assuming you have anon access enabled in iis under directory security, I am assuming that these picture files lay outside of the scope of the files that are permitted for access, you could move the picture files to the same folder that holds the rest of your website and look at the NTFS permissions on them to make sure they arent to restrictive.

cstorms,

At the risk of sounding totally 'clueless'

Q. How do I check for NTFS permissions?
Q. How do I include a directory to be inside the scode of files/directories that are permitted for access?

My site is defined as (root directory):

inetpub/
I have created a directory:

inetpub/
'kalendar' has multiple directories where reference documents and scripts are kept.

I want to be able to link a document found within 'kalendar' without having to enter user name and password.

Q. What must I do to stop this question from poping up?

Remember, if I enter a user ID and password (window user), the application works just fine.

Regards,

Jose Lerebours
