Trying to call a Cobol Program(AS400) from the Browser using Active Server pages in HTML Form. Not sure what do i need to use in my HTML Form like Library, Program Name etc. Please guide me if you are familier with this type of issues.

scche,
have a look a thread209-36997 which may help.

All,
is it worth putting this thread in a faq as this seems to be the way things are going?

Marc, All,
I think we concluded that you cannot launch a COBOL program from a browser. On the other hand you can call a browser from COBOL and write cookies from the browser and then process the cookies in a separate COBOL program, perhaps sending the results of the processing to another browser session.
HTH,
Clive

P.S Don't know anything much about Active Server Pages.

Since this thread has been referred to a couple of times recently, I thought I would update it with a link. The solution is a client-side ASP approach to interface web browser input with a COBOL program.

Thread209-36997.
