Is there any way of stopping the dreadfull clipping that occurs when you print a web page designed at full screen width.

Whenever I print a page that is designed at maximum browser width i.e. 750 - 800px the printer clips of the side of the content, which is annoying to say the least. The safe
width seems to be around 670px, but designing pages at this width leaves unwanted white, or whatever colour space down the right hand side.

What i'm saying, or more to the point, what I want to do is design pages at full screen width that print properly without having to print in landscape.

Any ideas?

Paul Welding.
I don't think you can do what you are asking, though there may be some strange secret I don't know about. The best way to make sure a person can print your page, yet design it the way you want is to create two versions. One would be your normal version, or the one that a surfer would see, the other would be the "Printer Friendly" version. You simply put a link on the main page to the Printer Friendly page. I have seen this utilized elsewhere and it seems to be a good idea, if you expect your users to want to print out your pages.
John Vogel
johnvogel@homepage.com
<a href= FreeDSL Service
[To a get FREE DSL Modem WITH FREE DSL Unlimited Internet Connection click the above link :)]
