I am attempting to use a script to send text messages to my wireless phone using

Problem: Using IE I am able to navigate through the page using sendvkey (VK_TAB), but cannot find a method of monitoring the status of the page such as $
Using Procomm Web Browser I am able to use $ to monitor the page, but am having difficulty navigating thourgh the page.

Any Ideas?

I don't have an installed version of Procomm with the web browser, but I seem to recall that there were some problems with the IE integration, specifically using tabs and maybe the Enter key. Are you able to tab through the Procomm browser window manually and it is only your script having problems navigating?

I am not able to manually tab through the procomm browser. The script works fine on IE except I have to guess at how long to pause before sending characters.

I am working on another option using outlook (the wireless phone can be emailed), but I have other script ideas that will require web compatibility.

Since you can't manually tab through the page in Procomm, there is really nothing that can be done so that your script interacts correctly with the Procomm browser. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way for Procomm to query IE to determine if a page is completely loaded or not.

Find out if there's a dialup server where you can use terminal. Rogers AT&T wireless allows both web based and dumb terminal (modem) access to send text messages to pagers and cell phones. Some dialup servers require the IXO message protocol or may allow manual input. This is a great option. A script can be created in a couple minutes this way.

You may want to look at actually sending the message via email. I'm very new to this but that's how I do it with my applications. Most cellphones and pagers have an email address something like [phonenum]@providername.com.

It looks like ASPECT/Procomm can send and receive msgs
