Hi,
I'm making a web page with a link to a folder, i.e to the HD root, and must work in a Macintosh.

Simple, isn't it? :(

Another approach might be opening a web page to a server's folder, showing some files in a directory, and then upload some file to that directory (dragging, or opening a dialog).

thank you

Unfortunately you aren't going to get your wish this time :( It can't be done for the Mac using "off-the-shelf" software. I'm sure someone has developed a plugin or whatever... but to do this you would need to run some kind of back-end server that can process file system requests.

Using only Javascript, HTML and all the will in the world won't help you I'm afraid.

Jeff

PS: Condolences.

Hi mate,

What are you actually trying to achieve here? It looks lik 2 different things.

a link to a folder,
Another approach... upload some file to that directory

If you want to upload to this, install an FTP server. If you want to allow downloading/viewing pages etc directly from the root of the HDD, install Apache and add an alias that points to the HDD root.

Hope this helps

Wullie
