Hi,
I have a win2k running on HP Vectra VL400. I use Ooutlook express as my email client. Each time I click on a web link contained in an email, the link is not opened at all, instead IE opens and just remains blank. (I also have NS 6.2) Any fixes?

What version of IE and what command line are you running for the URL:Hyper Text Transfer Protocol file type. You can find the file association under Windows Explorer.
TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS
FILE TYPES
Look for URL:Hyper Text Transfer Protocol under N/A file types.
Click on ADVANCED
Select the OPEN action
Click on EDIT

The command line should be similar to
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

If you are running IE6 and the above checks out you may try running the command:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
to register the file. joegz

I have IE 5.00.2920.0000 56 bit cipher strength and file type association is as follows

- "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome under "Application used to performa action" heading.

- Use DDE is checked
- DDE Message is "%1",,-1,0,,,,
- Application IExplore
- DDE Application Not Running is blank
- Topic is system
