I have some remote users who when they access programs via the webinterface are opening multiple sessions as they open different programs, on both servers. This means I am using up licenses I cannot afford to be using. Any ideas? I am relatively new to Citrix :) thanks

scubanome,
Technically you are not using any additional Citrix licenses because the user is coming from one client into multiple applications on the same Citrix farm.

But anyways...back to the problem.
It sounds like the user is doing like a double-click on the web interface icons which then launches multiple instances of the application....correct?

If so, please use the "1Click Solution" provided by Thomas Kotzing.

Hope that helps.

i didnt explain myself very well... i have one user who has outlook and excel open in session 1 on server 1 and then has an access db open in session 2 on server 1 or this can happen over 2 servers so session 1 is held on server 1 and session 2 is held on server 2. it is only happening with webclient access and even when i log in and try it as them to make sure there is no double clicking going on it is still occuring.

it is beginning to drive me crazy!

scubanome,
Sounds like you need to check your load-evaluators.
If the server is reporting as a higher load on server1 when the user is trying to launch another application...it WILL open another session to a different server (that the load-balancing).

Usually when a user has an application open on Server1 and then launches another published application (that resides on Server1) it will try to launch it locally on that server. But if the server is reporting as full load (on Server1) it will open a new session on Server2 to complete the request.

Hope that helps.
