Web Intelligence Access Restrictions

Hello,

I know how restrict the specific objects in the universe (through either the Security Access Level or creating object restrictions). However, I need to restrict ALL objects so that the only data elements a user can see are those that pertain to their own Department??

Is this even possible?

I don't think Department filters would work since there would be no guarantee that the users would drop them into the filter pane. Or is this something that would have to be setup as different WebI's (each with their own department filters)??

There is a Dynamic Cascading Prompt (for location and departments) that we use in CRYSTAL REPORTS that restricts the users, how would I go invoking this cascading list in Universe Designer? ((the DCP is kept in the repository through Business View Manager))

It sounds like you're trying to create row-level security. This is best done using a combination of a database table and some entries into the security portion of the universe.
