Hello,

I installed Mstr Web Analyst edition of MSTR Web in a server(SQL Server) which has five partitions. I installed Intelligent server in one partition and Web server in another partition. I did not get any errors and the installation got completed successfully. I checked the Intelligent server by configuring the Mstr Tutorial project into three tier environment and was able to stop and start the I-server.(so i believe I-server is working o.k)

But I am not able to open the Mstr Webpage, where I can then go and configure my I-server and the respective projects under that. When I click on the Mstr Web Administrator Icon on the START --> PROGRAMS -- MSTR WEB ADMINISTRATOR, I get a "Page cannot found error". I installed the web components under the intranet web service which is already available. I stop the I.I.S and then installed the web component under the intranet web service. I checked the mstr web service under that and it shows as started, but I am getting this error.

I am using Mstr 7.5.3 version and SQL Server 2000 and I.I.S 6.0 and Microsoft .NET framework 1.1. I am trying to find some document specific to MSTR Web installation but could find only Mstr Web Universal Edition.

Can someone guide me on this. Where I am going wrong?

Advance thanks for your help.

look at your URL....say it's
1. make sure the IIS directory mappings are correct
2. make sure your dll is set up to handle .aspx using the aspnet_isapi.dll

if both are fine, put a simple HTML page in the same directory and see if you view that page.

nlim,

Thanks for the reply.

Just before asking for few more clarifications, I was able to get the webpage display properly, so now I will proceed further.

Actually my web components have been installed under

F:Inetpub/Intranet/V 2.0/Modules/MSReports

and my IIS directory path is

Websites:
Intranet v 2.0/Modules/MSReports.
(Intranet is the root website)

The problem was, READ privileges was not given to the folders under the path where microstrategy web components was installed and at the I.I.S directory path. (i.e). We now gave read privileges to the Internet guest account under the I.I.S Properties - security privileges and the I.I.S WPG access (this is available in computers where Web is installed and it runs under ASP application with .NET framework & with I.E 6.0) and also FULL CONTROL access has to be given to System account.

Thanks onceagain.
