web host reviews

I was wondering if there was a site, or forums, or something that has reviews of web hosts. There were a few I was interested in learning more about:

One more thing.. I was wondering if there was a way to find out who my host is... My cousin gave me some space, and everything is working just fine, I just don't know who the host is. I work through the cPanel, so I can't just go to the IP, and upon getting my whios info, I'm not closer to finding who my host is.

look at the name server address. that should give you a good indication.

I did look at the name server.. but as I said, was no closer to finding out who it was. Not all name servers are actually a part of the company from which you are hosting.

upload questionable content to the server. that should bring them out. or ask your cousin.

is a decent forum for hosting related issues.

in my early days of programming, i accidently wrote an endless loop that brought down a server, and my host contacted me immediately...(lol!)

If you let us know the web address then I'm sure we would be able to point you in the right direction.
