I am looking for a web filter for my church.
There is about 6 computers that are networked and all have internet access (DSL). I have looked at Nortons internet filter but I imagine there is a better product that will fit my needs. The need I have is just to prevent surfing to unwanted sites (Pornography and other adult content) and maybe be able to log where people are surfing to.
any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I prefer to run a proxy to perform the filtering. Even a very old, slow machine will suffice with many of the Linux-based firewall products.

Not that I am against the personal firewalls, but attempting to manage all of those separate programs is a pain. A firewall will allow you to configure one set of rules, and they automatically apply to all systems on the network.

You'll probably still want to run an anti-virus program, because you won't be filtering email, and that is where many of those trojan/virus programs come into your network.

Ok. If you have a website I can look at so I can give that a shot I would appreciate it.
Thanks!!
