I've been using CE for so long that I can't recall, if I ever knew, alternative methods for allowing users to view .RPT files from an intranet portal.

Will a CR 9 developer license allow for setting up a link to an .RPT file within an intranet, and then use the active-x viewer to display them? If so, can we automatically install the Active-X viewer the first time?

Or do I have to go to Enterprise to allow for this functionality?

All input appreciated.

Add to the above that the WEB portal is generated using ASP.NET, so integrating some CR 9 Developer methodology with this would be optimal to avoid additional licensing.

Again, all responses are much appreciated.

OK, another addnedum...

These reports will already be generated by a scheduler, so the only requirement is to display a .RPT file, not refresh the data.

The purpose is to allow for drill down, which exporting to PDF, etc, will not.
