I am using Crystal Reports 8.0, IIS 4.0 installed on my NT workstation. Also Outlook 2000 is installed.
I have developed a Crystal report on calendar folder which I can retrieve OK from Design mode.
However, when I try to retrieve it from Web page, the login prompt keeps coming back irrespective of input on Login and Password textbox. I found this type of behaviour described in Article ID: c2000561 (enclosed as Annex-I)in knowledgebase on Seagate website. Although, this article applies to Crystal Reports 6.0, even then I modified in "Services", the Web component server and Pager Server to run using my NT login account but it does not help. I could not find the file Crpgsvr.exe and guess must be CR 6.0 related.
I shall appreciate if someone can please help me with past experience.
I also developed Crystal report on pubs database on MS SQL 6.5 to check if web server is installed properly.
When I retrieve the report from a web page, systems always prompt for logon information even though I have supplied the same using following syntax.
<a href=" target="_blank" name="Report2">Report2</a>
However, unlike Exchange folders, here it works OK, if I provide the same information on the prompt.
I can also upgrade to Crystal reports 8.5. will that be of any help in regard to this?
Awaiting for an early reply.
Many Thanks
Raj

Web Logon Page When Calling a Report Based on Microsoft Exchange
The information in the article refers to:
Seagate Crystal Reports 6
Applies to:
Not tested with other versions
Crystal Web Report Server
Connectivity Issues
Microsoft Exchange
Synopsis
A report is created based on Microsoft Exchange. The report is being called using the Crystal Web Report Server with a database logon HTML page to connect to the server. When providing proper logon values for the Microsoft Exchange source, the logon page returns, as though the logon values were incorrect.
Solution
When reporting on a Microsoft Exchange data source, the user requesting the report must have access to Microsoft Exchange profiles. When calling the report using the Crystal Web Report Server, the account making the request is the System (NT Operating System's) account. This is because the Crystal Web Report Server is an extension of the web server application, which is running under the System account.
The problem is that the System account is not a valid MS Exchange user, and therefore does not have access to any profiles. In order to view web reports based on Microsoft Exchange, you must launch the Crystal Web Page Server component of the Web Report Server under an account that has rights to Microsoft Exchange profiles.
This can be done by adding the Crystal Web Page Server executable (Crpgsvr.exe) to the "Start Up" folder of an NT user's profile that has access to Microsoft Exchange. Note that this user must remain logged in to the NT Server as long as they wish view serve reports (based on Microsoft Exchange) over the web.
