Need to know if webclient is installed and running on our server. How can I tell if its installed, and if its running? How do I access it?

If you don't know if it is installed, it is unlikely that it is. It is not something that would typically be installed on its own. You can check for it by going to Start->Programs->Avaya Modular Messaging Web Client Tools. If you don't have that, it is most likely not installed. You can also try browsing to

How do you get that installed? Is that an option that is installed?

Is the server Avaya provided, or can it be run on one that we provide?

We have webclient installaed and it works fine accept for the phone options. When we try to record a message, the system never dials our telephone so we can record a message to send. We get an error:
"Remote Server machine does not exist or unavailable (462)"
Any clues?

Could there be a network issue that doesn't allow the web server to talk to the MASs? You need to be able to ping the corporate IP address for each of the MASs for the dial out to work.

ping from a command prompt from the webclient machine works fine.

You might also check and see if you have ports setup in the PC Clients group on the MAS.

If you are talking about in voicemail system configuration on the MAS the port groups are assigned as our default group and are enabled for incoming and outgoing

Fixed!!! modified the lmhost file on web server to reesolve MAS name. test ok!
Thanks!
