Every so often when we try to get to the web client IE shows a "Service Unavailable" error. A quick check of services on the web server shows nothing out of the ordinary. A reboot of the web server will fix the problem (for a while).

Just curious if anyone else has run into this and if so, have they got the fix for it.

Thanks

can you give us more info? OS, patch level, etc. do you notice it during busy times? any part of the day when it freezes? clients connecting to the server vs hardware installed (thinking CPU usage).

We have experienced a similar problem and have troubleshooted it all the way to Nortel engineers with no fix found. The last suggestion was to do a reinstallation on the SWC server. We don't have another server to do the reinstall on currently so we have put a nightly scheduled task to restart the IIS service. It's possible our problem is bigger but no patch or SU has fixed it and it has been happening for close to six months now. Our clients that connect with ADD also lose their connectivity when this happens.

network issue?
too many open sessions?
IIS corrupted?
server load? Other s/w on server?
IP multicast/traffic issue?
