I can access my Citrix server via web client without problems, except if I am working on an ICMP-disabled network. Once I connect to the web client, I see all the published applications I have access to, but launching the application times out after a few minutes. Error message: Cannot connect to the Citrix MetaFrame server. Protocol driver error.
This happens only if the presentation server clients v.8 and v.9 are installed, but it works fine when we have v.6 or v.7 installed. I also tried to use v.7 and install only the web plug-in of v.9 on top, same result – time out!
Any ideas why this happens? Am I missing some settings on the Citrix server or the web server part (even though it works fine on networks with ping and tracert enabled)?
Thanks for your help.

try disabling session reliablity on the server,to see if the issue is resolved.
Do you have the port 2598 open on your firewall
