4.5 webclient on 2003 server. The web client is installed but I cant login through the webpage. The server has been added as a trusted site, SOAP is installed, Active X prompts have been set, uninstalled/reinstalled, stopped windows firewall service, I tried webadmin (user) webadmin (pwd), tried changing pwd...to no avail...grrrr.

I found what appears to be a similar problem when searching Nortels Knowledge Base...but was denied access to the fix....if there are any Nortel people out there, can this be fixed? All of your competitors have knowledge base searches that you dont even have to login to their site to use. Sorry, I will know get off of my soapbox...thanks.

Is this a new install or has this been working? The reason I ask is because I have seen this happen on existing Web Servers that were working fine on Friday, and on Monday morning, no one can log in. The usual culprit is some new group policies on the domain, or some sort of security update pushed to the web server. Sometimes stopping and starting IIS will work; sometimes a reboot may work. If it is something pushed to the server, we request it to be removed.

New install, just put in this morning. Do you have any information on specific policies that need to be set or changed?

Hi,
say, u add him to domain environment?
this is a Co-Residant Server (SCCS/SWC)
what version 4.5/6.0

can u enter with the SMI to SCCS DB?

Regards,
Rami Yacov

Yes the server is in the domain. Also, it is a standalone server and is 4.5. After many reinstalls the server needs a re-image. So, once the server is re-imaged I will try again after talking to our server guys.

In the meantime if anyone has had a similar experience please post. Thanks

most times when I have heard/experienced unable to access SWC with the webadmin & a domain present, was the server added to the domain AFTER the complete SWC installation? again, it's the domain policies giving you grief.
