Web Cam/Scanner conflict

I have a Lexmark Z82 printer. It is a combination of a printer, copy machine, fax, and scanner. My web cam is a Veo Stingray.

My problem is when I run the Samsung SmarThru Scan Wizard and either do a scan or prescan, my web cam software gets called and it thinks it should get the image from my web cam instead.
~I have uninstalled and reinstalled both my printer and the Samsung SmarThru 2 software, but I am having the same problem.
~I have also gotten an update of my device driver from customer support at Lexmark.
~ I have tried unplugging my camera and using the scanning software.
