Hi:

I'm using a creative PC550 Web Cam to ctry and communicate a friend out of town. I'm having trouble with the conmmunucation. I can not receive any inbound video or audio transmission. I am using MS Netmeeting software, and am trying to connect to the internet through a Linksys Router/ with hardware firewall. THE internet connection is cable. I have opened up the port 80 on the firewall but am still haing no luck. Anyone ever set one of these up before.

Thanks in advance

If you have :80 opened, this may be the reason.

NetMeeting uses the following Internet Protocol (IP) ports:

Port Purpose
----------------------------------------------------
389 Internet Locator Server [Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)]
522 User Location Server (TCP)
1503 T.120 (TCP)
1720 H.323 call setup (TCP)
1731 Audio call control (TCP)
Dynamic H.323 call control (TCP)
Dynamic H.323 streaming [Realtime Transport Protocol (RTP) over User Datagram Protocol (UDP)]

Thanks WheeDoggy:

This has been really helpful so far. I'm still stuck on the last part of your solution. Namely the

Dynamic H.323 call control (TCP)
Dynamic H.323 streaming [Realtime Transport Protocol (RTP) over User Datagram Protocol (UDP)]

How can I figure out what port numbers these are? Linksys has been no help to me unfortunately, neither has creative.

Thanks again
