About 2 months ago, I uninstalled the proxy server and went to a physical firewall box. The proxy client was removed from all of our workstations. All but one machine was able to get to the web. However, this one machine will not connect. It also cannot ping other stations. When IE 5.0 or 5.5 (I have tried both) is opened, the DNS error appears.

It is a Windows 98 machine. It has no problem connecting to the server and e-mail (via our in house exchange server) is no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the NIC, verified the driver file, and reinstalled the driver file. The machine never had this problem before the proxy client was removed. She has the same permissions at the server as everyone else.

Any ideas?
