Our school district has me starting to implement Bordermanger to block sites like MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. From reading, other threads in this forum it sound as if we are using this as a Proxy only server, for now!
The server is in question is:
-NetWare 6.5 Sp2, two NICs (NAT)
-ZenWorks for Desktops 4.01 IR4
-BM3.8 Sp2a /w SP3b
I have four access rules
1.Deny - and others
2.Deny - and others on a list
3.Allow internet_students.ou.o (group) access to ALL URLs
4.Allow admin.ou.o, teachers.ou.o and office.ou.o (groups) access to ALL URLs
When anyone tries to access allowed web sites, the page takes a very long time to load, if it loads at all? Clicking the refresh button in your web browser will finally make the pages come up? I’ve had some luck unloading proxy.nlm and reloading which allows for fast browsing again?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, Shane.
