I am using RealVNC personal edition to try to get access to a W2k box from a WinXP box. I have narrowed down the problem to Internet Explorer. I can connect to the Java VNC Viewer in Mozilla Firefox, but when I do in IE6, all i get is a bad image window, no java opening or anything. I have tried changing the security level and made the computer a trusted site, but still no dice. I need to use IE6, Firefox is not an option, I was using it to see if the problem was server or client side, and it is client.

I actually found it was a problem with the JRE installation. It must not have linked correctly with IE because it started working as soon as I reinstalled the JRE
