I'm in the process of developing a web app. Can this be done sucessfully without using Javascript? I would like to accomplish this with ASP and VBScript.

I guess the question is what is the advantage of JavaScript over VBScript? I'm to old to learn a new language and I pretty much know VBScript from doing the app in Visual Basic. Rob

There isn't much you can't do with VBScript. About the only thing I've ever seen being a issue with programmers is the fact alerts or MsgBox's on errors in validation is tricky to get without adding a bit of javascript.
You can get around it with the showModalDialog function though.

I may not get it the 1st or 2nd time,
but how sweet that 15th time can be.

Thanks Onpnt, I was hoping that I could accomplish what I wanted with VBScript. It looks like it's going to be a long road though. I've got most of it done actually. What's killin me is filling ComboBoxes based on what was selected in the previous one. I've posted it and had several answers, one from you I think, but it's still killin me. I guess I need to slow down and not get so frustrated with it.

Thanks again. You are obviously a kind person. Rob
