I want to try something interesting, I would like to setup a bordermanager server to control internet access. Now if I recall this can be done, but I will ask any way. What I would like to do is setup a BM server, and when a user wants to access the internet, instead of having to login via a Novell client, I would prefer they be challenged at a BM GUI prompt. Is this still available in BM? and is it easy to setup? Assuming I still need to create all the associated userid's etc??

Yea, it can still be done.

All the user will have to use the proxy service. You just enable the proxy authentication and when a browser comes up, a browser login box apears.

The plus side = user must log in every time they open a browser makeing the trace log acurate to the exact user going to the unauthorized web page.

The minus side = user must log in every time they open a browser annoying all your users.

I thought I could set this up..thanks a bunch. I think there is a time setting too that I can put in place so that once you login you are in, and either after you close the window or xx amount of idle time, then the connection is cleared which is good.
