I was just curious if or what everyone else does on the phone/voicemail side of things when they need to close the business due to some unforseen event, IE fire, snow, etc. Do you have a number that people can call into that has closure information, greeting with info on main number or something else. Just a curious question trying to get some other ideas for my company.

We have an emergeny mailbox that is an announcement, tied to a number that the entire company should know. I also have a service from Qwest that would allow me to remotly re-route that call in the event the PBX or MerMail was not operable (Can you say Disaster Recovery?)

Very easy to do, requires no set license, and can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.

Hope thie helps,

Scott M.
