We have an Excel Spreadsheet with eight tabs at the bottom. Each layout is the same for all tabs. The layout involves varing widths and heights of cells. The difference is the data entered and the titles. When we completed the first tab and tried to copy it seven more times, the size changes and we must extend or shorten the cells one at a time.

The Excel defaut seems to be about 3/4" wide and 3/8" high for each cell. Our layout has changed for many of the cells. For example: Cell A7 has been changed from 3/4" wide to 3" wide and the height has changed from 3/8" to 1" high. Other cells are also changed.

Is there a way to copy the layout into the various tabs without the sizes changing?

hi,

Two steps.

1. COPY the COLUMNS -- Select the COLUMNS in the target sheet -- Edit Paste Special FORMATS

2. repeat for ROWS.

The Format Paintbrush is your friend.

Select the whole sheet with the format you want by clicking on the select the whole sheet thing to the left of "A" and above "1"

Click the Format Paintbrush

Go to a different tab and select that whole sheet.
