We have Novell 5.1, and 70 odd HP

We have Novell 5.1, and 70 odd HP printers. We have recently upgraded some workstations to 2000. Ever since then, we have had major printing problems with 2000/Novell/HP 8000/5Si's. In a nutshell, when you go to the printers control panel, it shows the HP 8000 N printer's status as 'opening'. It may not happen after the printer install - it's random, but eventualy happens none the less. Is anyone aware of any issues regarding the circumstances above?. It's realy a pain in the ass !

There is sometimes a problem with 2000 and the network printers. I've run into that here. About the only thing I know that solved it was formatting and reinstalling the 2000 machines. Service Pack 2 didn't help much at all. Jennifer Sigman
