We currently use Macola 7.5 software (networked) which utilizes Btrieve. I have just replaced a users notebook and am in the process of installing all programs. Macola has been installed, etc. but when the user goes to open it we get a message btrieve not loaded (obviously it is loaded on the server but not on the workstation). How do I load it on the workstation. I have the original server disks of Btrieve.

We use Macola 7.1 (networked) which uses Btrieve, Great Plains, 6 through 8, again using Btrieve, and Forest and Trees, 2 through 4, again using Btrieve.
I can't find the btrieve kernel in any of them. I'm not really certain as to how betrieve really works in them.

Hi cogebi, I think you should be able to find (if not, it needs to be installed) brequest.exe or btrieve.exe in a btrieve directory located on the workstation. Although you're right, I'm still not sure if both are needed (client and server)to run the kernel. Good luck!
