our ie(version 6) cannot acces any page. We have checked all the settings, and they seem correct.
if we ping a site, we get a respond, but ie doesn't find it.
could someone help us

I guess I would check two things. One I would have IE open a local page just to make sure that it is working. And if that works I would go through the settings again and pay special attention to the proxy and security settings.

I hope that works for ya

If you can ping, but cannot bring up a web page, it could be a DNS problem (not resolving names). Try typing IP addresses of web sites that you know in the URL address bar. If it's DNS problem then you need to speak to whoever is hosting your DNS.
