WD0 time out Error

I keep getting this error:
wd0:timeout on fixed disk dev 1/42
I thought it was the hard drive removed and put in another box sco box and it worked fine So now I am puzzled I am running sco 5.0.5 any one seen this before? what is it and more importantly what can i do to fix it?
