I have been asked to try and set up an automated alerts on our boxir2 servers when the cms or other bobj services are stopped for whatever reasons. Something that would send an email or text msg if possible.

We are on MS Windows Server 2003 and someone at our office proposed having the control-m team set up alerts, however they said the services are not windows services so the usual command line status checks are not working.

Does anyone know what sorts of stats might be obtainable from the command line?
Has anyone worked through this issue and have good suggestions in general on it?

Thanks!

Hi,
The BOE services are Windows Services and you can set actions to take when a service fails ( like execute a program, restart, reboot, etc)..Have a CMD file that sends you email when it fails and also restarts the service and set this as the recovery action..

Configure this in the Windows Services Manager not the CCM.
