I wanted to get opinions from those who use Visio and have created network structure designs. I have a semi-large network that needs documented. I would like to produce something of use other than just images on a peice of paper.

Can you share your ideas with me? I thank you in advance.

I'm assuming you mean network hardware structure. I suggest that you research and use UML Deployment diagrams, and to some extent for context, UML in general, and also know what OMG is for (dare I say it?) metacontext. Googling will produce a great deal of helpful information. If you want to look at pure theoretical specification, go to (sort of the IEEE of OOAD) and download the entire UML spec. It's very heavy going, but interesting if you chew on it. A great book on UML is The UML Bible by Tom Pender. It has a good section on deployment diagrams.
