My customer is getting wavy lines when they print certain documents. I couldn't duplicate the problem with any of the built-in diagnostics. Here is an example of what they are getting.

The blue "DBE News" box is supposed to be solid blue. The wavy lines will continue onto blank pages as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey,
Is the toner cartridges and imagedrum original HP ? and if so how long have they been seated in this printer ?
Older cartridges and imagedrums lotcodes from the intro date of the CLJ 9500 + approx. ½ to 1 year ahead had some issues that would cause such wavy patterns to emerge.
Contact the re-seller and exchange both toner and drum for the colors affected to clear the issue.
If the re-seller refuses to do so, contact your local HP support on the phone and get a case created and refer to a "known issue" and they should help fix the exchange.

Looks to me like someone superimposed a flag in the box and re-sized it. check document for watermark, or other editing.

I have this happening to our Airforce photos also. It is called a Moire pattern; you can look it up on the internet for info. You can use the Gaussian Blur tool to remove it in certain cases, but for me that didn't work. For me, it was in the camera. I changed cameras and now it's gone.
