recently, i was on surfing my hd. i found the old ff2 clone, and thought, "why not?" so anyways, I was finished walking around fairly quick (runs quite a bit faster on my new comp) when i pressed esc, and i was shocked: i heard sound!!! yes, i am running windows xp, which is very qbasic sound program unfriendly. i did some looking around, and found all the midi players, ds4qb++, ds4qb2, sbmidi, qmidi would NOT work, while wav players did! (there are really none that are big, or have names. Can someone explain this to me??
and btw, knowing this, i decided to support sound on my new program i'm working on. I've been searching and searching, but i've NEVER found any wav players that can stop playing, or loop wavs.
1. is it possible?
2. if it is, could someone point me to a good wav player? (or post one up here?
3. could someone teach me about wavs, sb, ect. so i HOPE i could eventually make my own player?
thanks alot!
