Wav from VM Pro over paging? 3

Hello all- Hopefully everyone is staying safe. Trying to find out if this scenario is doable. Client currently has IPO and VM Pro- both recently upgraded to 9.1 by their in house telecom person. He is no longer there. They want to be able to dial an extension or short code to make a prerecorded announcement over the paging system. Currently they are dialing *89 and 1 for all zones to page. They also have a digital feedback eliminator. Is there a way to utilize the vm to do this. I did find a feature called Post Dial Action on the vm but not sure if that would work. The paging is using an analog trunk port.

It does work. The only trick to it is you need to have a pure extension like short code for the post dial action to work. I am working from home so I don't currently have a VM Pro to look at to advise you any further. We have used it as a feed back eliminator which is a bit trickier. I might have a .mdb that has the VMP side of the programming, but I would have to look.

Would you share that MDB file? I have similar request maybe. Customer has a Bogan UTI paging system they use for paging through their Plant/warehouse.
They have a separate emergency alert system that sounds an alarm for certain emergency's. They want that to play over paging system when triggered. Not sure if I will need to use post dial action or maybe use contact closer option from emergency system to Bogen.

You will need to modify it to play a defined wav. I can't open it here at home right now, but I did open it in access so I know the module is in there. It will be the FBE mod (Feed Back Eliminator).
