I had a recording made for my auto attendant and I cannot get it to play on my voicemail pro. I have it in the correct directory and I have the entry prompt pointing to the file. It is a WAV file and it does play on my laptop no problem. If I put the new recording into the menu I get dead air when I call in. Any tips

When replacing wav files do I need to do anythig special?

1) did you remember to save & make live in VM pro
2) is the format of the wav file correct (8khz 16 bit mono)

The dead air points to #2 of Mr. Guru's post. Change the format to 8khz, 16 bit mono and you should be good to go. Ran into this with a client not too long ago myself.

I have found it hard sometimes to change frequency of a wav file to the ipoffice specified rate with decent quality.

Sometimes its best to get the recordings done at the specific rate required

changng the format to guru's specs did the trick. Thanks for the help
