All wav files and music CD`s play too fast and sound like `Pinky & Perky' if you remember them,If not they were pigs with high pitched voices and used sing songs.
Is there a way to adjust the speed the sound files play at?
The PC is an Acer Pentium 4 running Windows XP.

Take a look in Device Manager at the Sound device entries and make sure none have yellow exclamation marks. If they do, your drivers probably aren't loaded right...in my part of the world it was Alvin and the Chipmunks...and it's almost time for them to sing again...
May need to remove the device entries altogether and reboot to let WinXP find them and reinstall the drivers.
