.wav clip playing loud static

Hello,
I have a short .wav clip that is embedded in the last keyframe of a movie clip. Most of the time it plays correctly but, 1 time out of 10, it won't play and just register as extremely loud static. That last frame also has a stop(); as on it as well.


Any Ideers?
