Hi,
Just wondering if there is a way to place a watermark on a report, for example I would like to place DraftOnly in greyed out text, using crystal reports 10 that comes with vs.net 2005.
Thanks.
If you got to the Crystal Help, Search Tab, and type in 'Watermark'. Choose "Making an object underlay a following section". This has a great write-up on putting on a Watermark. You can substitute where they speak of adding a 'picture' with adding a large 'text box'
To get the greyed-out effect on your text, right-click the field, choose Format, go to the Font Tab. Change the 'Color' to silver or some other light color.
Thanks for the information. Depending on the user I will want to display the watermark in the web application. I was thinking of passing a parameter to the report from the web application and then based on its' value display the water mark. Just wondering if there is any sample code that shows how to pass a parameter to the report?
