water effect

i'm trying to get two elipses to sort of merge together like what happen if you put two water drops close to eachother. sorry if that's not clear enough but i really dont know how to describe this. maybe if you can check out the sony walkman logo:

can anyone help me? i've trying to figure that out for days but i really dont know how i can get it exept for drawing it. the warp tool is also so difficult to control.

any help would be appreciated. thanks a lot.

try actually making two squares instead of circles. make a rectangle connecting the two and unite so it looks like a short fat "H". Then try a round corners to get that merged look. Both unite and round corners can be applied as an effect so all the originals shapes should be editable. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
